How to choose tasty fresh shrimp?

Principles

  • You choose shrimp with a sturdy shell, and transparent color, that is fresh shrimp.
  • Pay attention to the tail of the shrimp, if the tails are tightly packed together, it is a natural fresh shrimp, otherwise, if their tail is spread, it may be that the shrimp has been injected with water to increase weight.
  • Do not buy shrimp whose back is bent into a round shape, flowing with a viscous liquid, this is a shrimp that has been stored for a long time, when processed, it will no longer retain the characteristic sweetness of shrimp.

Tail of the shrimp

You can tell how fresh the shrimp is by looking at the section of the tail that is attached to the shrimp. Simply exposing the shrimp to light, stretching out the body of the shrimp, and examining the distance between the joints on the shell and the flesh will allow you to determine whether or not the shrimp is fresh. If the joint is broad, the shrimp has likely been chilled or kept in storage for a long period. The shrimp is fresher when the shrimp joint is smaller.

Additionally, while holding the shrimp up, stick them together rather than buy them if your fingers feel gritty or the shrimp are sticky. The form of the fresh shrimp will be straight or slightly curled. Long-lived, injured shrimp often have a rounded body shape.

Shrimp shape

The fresh shrimp will have a straight or slightly curved shape. Shrimps for a long time, damaged shrimp often have a round body.

Shrimp head and feet

Fresh shrimp usually have transparent, sturdy, firm bodies, shrimp heads and legs are attached to the shrimp body. So choose shrimp with the above characteristics. If the legs and head of the shrimp are loose or completely separate from the body, ignore them.

In addition, if the head of the shrimp is black, it means that the shrimp has been kept for a long time, is not fresh, or even degraded.

What is a baguette? Where to buy?

Baguette bread is a traditional bread of France, the reason for its name is because in French “baguette” means “chopstick”, or “long stick”, like its name, the bread has a length. from 50 – 100cm, much longer than normal bread.

However, a baguette has the same main ingredients as other types of bread, which are water, flour, yeast, and common salt. This type of cake also has a crispy outer shell, dense, spongy, and chewy inside. People often use Baguette bread for breakfast with eggs, salty sandwiches, or spread with jam to eat.
